A letter of thanks from the commander of the “Timer” battalion, Major V. Bezverkhnyy, was received by the Rector of the Volga Region State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism Rafis Burganov.
“The command and personnel of the battalion “Timer” express to you the deepest gratitude and appreciation for all the help you have rendered. All-round support, timely rendered with your participation, daily facilitates our everyday life, contributes to the successful fulfillment of combat tasks, saves lives and health of fighters and brings our victory over the enemy closer. We want to thank you and your labor, your care. As in the times of the Great Patriotic War, the people and the army united in a single impulse to achieve a common goal - the security of our great Motherland”, - says the commander's letter of gratitude.
For three years, Volga Region University has been regularly collecting humanitarian aid for the soldiers of the Special Military Operation and residents of the frontline territories.
During the month alone, the staff of the Volga Region University collected 200 thousand rubles for the purchase of generators for the battalion, took part in the social action “Common Cause” and collected humanitarian aid for the soldiers: long-life foodstuffs and personal hygiene products - more than 60 kilograms of essentials.
Now the university has a center for weaving camouflage nets for Russian fighters. The university plans to prepare a batch of nets and also give them to the Timer volunteer battalion.
“Being here, in the rear, we try to participate as much as possible in the lives of our fighters and send a piece of our warmth, support and gratitude for all that they do for us. Now we are weaving nets and we hope that they will serve as a kind of protection for the guys”, - said the vice-rector for administrative work, social development and youth policy Natalia Grechannikova.
