On May 22, the Volga Region University hosted the full-time stage of the XV competition "The Best Young Teacher of Kazan". The event has been held annually since 2008 among young teachers of higher and professional educational institutions of Kazan. The main goal of the competition is to stimulate scientific activity among young teachers, create conditions for professional self-realization and personal growth, as well as raise the level of educational, methodological and educational work.
The competition was organized by the Committee for Children and Youth Affairs of the Executive Committee of Kazan, as well as the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of Kazan. The competition is held in two stages - correspondence and full-time. At the first stage, the experts evaluate the portfolio and video self-presentation, which reflect the pedagogical, scientific and creative aspects of the life of the participants. Those who passed to the face-to-face stage demonstrate to the expert group a demo version of a part of their lesson from real practice, lasting fifteen minutes.
This year, the expert commission included representatives of the city's leading universities, public organizations, as well as municipal and regional authorities, including First Deputy Minister of Education of the Republic of Tatarstan Andrey Pominov and First Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan Sofya Mustafina.
“This competition is designed not only to identify the best, but also to contribute to the development of human resources in the field of education in general,” Andrey Pominov addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. “And we, experts, can get acquainted with new trends and see what will happen in our field in the future, because each of the participants is trying to bring something new and bright to it.”
According to the results of the correspondence round, fifteen representatives of higher and secondary vocational educational institutions entered the internal stage. Volga Region University was represented by Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology in the Field of Physical Culture and Sports Leysan Munavirova. Having successfully passed the tests of the correspondence stage, she presented a demo version of the lesson on the topic "Styles of family education", during which she revealed the content of each style using modern technical teaching aids and pedagogical methods, and also conducted an interactive lesson for members of the expert commission. The experts highly appreciated the presentation, separately noting the integrated approach to the study of the topic.
The results of the competition will be summed up in June at the awards ceremony.
