The winners and prize-winners of the republican essay contest "Pushkin and the Modern Generation" were awarded at the Volga Region University of Sports.
The contest was held in three nominations: essays in English; essays in French; essays in native languages (Russian, Tatar). In each of the three nominations of the competition there were two age categories: pupils of 9-11 grades and students of higher educational institutions.
The contest participants were asked to write an essay on one of the following topics: "Digital Man" of the XXI century and Pushkin's compassion for man"; "Pushkin's love for Russia and patriotism in times of globalisation"; "Attitude of Pushkin and Generation Z to the history of Russia"; "Physical development and appearance of a young man of Pushkin's generation and Generation Z"; "Purpose of life of a young man of Pushkin's generation and Generation Z".
The competition received a total of 105 entries in English, French, Russian and Tatar.
Roksana Galimardanova (School No. 24 of Kazan with Advanced Study of Individual Subjects) was the winner in the category "Essay in English" among students of grades 9-11. Alisa Bondarenko and Ilsina Valiullina were recognised as the best students in the same nomination. Both girls study at the Volga Region State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism. The winner in the nomination "Essays in native languages" among schoolchildren was Ayaz Shiriev (MCC-KTITS). Victoria Kandrabayeva (Volga Region State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism) won in the same nomination among students.
The organisers thanked the participants for their interest in the competition and invited them to take part in other events.
