The Volga Region University of Sport took second place in the National Aggregate Rating among the universities under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Sport of Russia.
The National Aggregate Rating allows applicants to learn more about universities and make a choice in favour of one or another when applying for studies.
This is the sixth time the rating has been published and has become a de facto unified scale for evaluating higher education institutions.
It allowed universities to compare their results and achievements with other educational institutions at the institutional level.
This stimulates competition between universities and encourages them to strive to improve their educational and scientific offer.
The ranking is published on the portal of the Aggregator of Independent Evaluation of Higher Education. It includes more than 600 universities, including 14 that are under the Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation.
The first in the list was the Russian University of Sport "GTSOLIFK" (Moscow). Smolensk State University of Sport (Smolensk) rounded off the top three.
