Ninth-graders of lyceum No 146 “Resource” visited the Volga Region University. The children have been playing hockey at the Volna sports school since early childhood and want to link their professional career with sports. During the tour of the university they not only got acquainted with the educational and laboratory building, but also learned about the opportunities for admission.
Shamil Enikeev, senior lecturer of the Department of Theory and Methodology of Football and Hockey, told the guests about the advantages of the university: sports facilities and conditions for training.
- Volga State University provides several levels of education through college, undergraduate, and graduate programs. A hockey player cannot play without the right thoughts in his head. He or she must have a game mindset, and that is first and foremost a brain job. Therefore, further continuation of education is necessary when choosing a sports professional specialization, - said Shamil Enikeev.
Alsu Zheltyakova, Director of the College of Volga Region University, told the schoolchildren about the peculiarities of secondary vocational education and job prospects after graduation. She paid special attention to the training areas of physical culture and adaptive physical culture.
Robert Bikmukhametov, Director of the Institute of Sports, answered the students' questions about studying at the bachelor's degree program and told about the Student Hockey League, in which the university team has been successfully playing for many seasons.
Lenar Galiev, Chairman of the Student Council of the university, gave a tour of the teaching and laboratory building for schoolchildren.
- The excursion was informative. The guys were especially interested in student life: events held at the university and the atmosphere of learning. We showed the main points of attraction for Povolzhsky students: classrooms, canteen, information and resource center, sports and gym, as well as places where activists gather, - shared Lenar Galiev.
