Igor Konovalov, Head of the Volleyball and Basketball Theory and Methodology Department of the university, was awarded the title of professor

Igor Konovalov, Head of the Department of Theory and Methodology of Volleyball and Basketball of the Volga Region University of Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism, was awarded the title of Professor in the speciality ‘Theory and Methodology of Sport’ at the meeting of the Academic Council held the previous day. The diploma of academic degree and academic title was presented by the first vice-rector of the university Azat Sharapov.

Also Anastasia Salmova received the document of the academic degree of Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences from the hands of the First Vice-Rector.  

Within the framework of the meeting, Gabdyjalil Suleymanov was presented to the academic title of Associate Professor in the scientific speciality 5.8.5 - Theory and Methodology of Sport.

During the meeting reports on the results of the activities of the university structures were heard. 
Sergei Druzhkov, Head of the Centre for Social and Psychological Monitoring of Deviance, made a report on the activities of the Centre for Social and Psychological Monitoring of the University. 
Danir Islyamov, Head of the Admission Organisation Department, reported on the results of vocational guidance activities at the University and readiness for the admission campaign in 2024. 
Head of Public Relations Department Aigul Salimzyanova told about the main activities of the Public Relations Department of Volga Region University. 
Mikhail Smolkin, Director of the Aquatics Palace, spoke about the results of the year and readiness for the BRICS Games.

The meeting ended with the consideration of various organisational issues.
