Today, on March 30, during the Academic Council meeting, faculty members, staff members and students of Volga Region State University of Sports and Tourism were presented with various awards.
A Badge of Honour "For Services in Development of Physical Culture and Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan" was presented to Anna Romanova, professor of the Football and Ice Hockey Theory and Methodology department, by Rafis Burganov, Rector of the Volga Region State University of Physical Culture and Sports.
The Honorary Diploma of the Ministry of Sport of the Republic of Tatarstan was presented to Alfiya Badrutdinova, head of the Health Protection Organization Department and Pavel Zheleznyakov, head of the Photo Service of the Public Relations Department.
The Minister of Sport of the Republic of Tatarstan honoured Vasily Emelyanov, senior lecturer of the theory and methodology of athletics and rowing, Evgeny Gerasimov, senior lecturer of the adaptive physical education and life safety department, Albina Shaimieva and Saria Khasanova, both instructors of the adaptive physical education and life safety department.
A letter of appreciation from the Rector of the Volga Region State University was also awarded to Physical Culture Institute students Lyia Valeeva and Nikita Tsukhlov.
At the end of the Academic Council meeting, when the main items on the agenda were completed, Rafis Burganov, the Rector of the Volga Region State University, was awarded the degree of Doctor of Economics.
