Today, a meeting of the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan was held at the Volga Region University, dedicated to the preparation of sports reserves in sports schools of Tatarstan. The meeting was attended by Svetlana Vostrikova, a member of the United Russia faction in the State Council of Tatarstan, Rector of the Volga Region University of Physical Education, Sports and Tourism Rafis Burganov, Minister of Sports of the Republic Vladimir Leonov, Deputy Minister Khalil Shaykhutdinov, directors of sports schools and heads of sports departments of municipal districts of Tatarstan.

The rector of the University Rafis Burganov told about the directions of cooperation in the preparation of the sports reserve within the framework of the branch scientific and educational cluster in his speech. During the report, he noted how important it is to discuss issues and directions of development of the sports reserve of the republic together. The head of the university also stressed that the university is defined as the basic one in the scientific and educational cluster of the branch of physical culture and sports. Earlier, cooperation agreements were signed with the Kazan Sports Committee, the Sports Training Center, and sports federations of the Republic of Tatarstan. This will improve the quality of the reserve in sports schools. As part of the joint work in this direction, Rafis Burganov proposed the following directions: the implementation of joint programs of medical and biological support of the training process and advanced training and professional retraining at the Institute of Additional Education of the University.

"I consider it important to cooperate jointly in the development of scientific and methodological materials for the preparation of the sports reserve," the rector added summing up. - The formation of the younger generation of reserves at the best sports facilities of the country, where medical and research centers are deployed, is the present of our republic and our joint work with you!", - Rafis Burganov concluded his report.

The rector also noted that he would like to consider the issue of training pupils of sports schools on the basis of the university. He recalled that last year the university hosted about 4 thousand pupils of Moscow sports schools and the results achieved by the children exceeded all expectations. This year, applications from Moscow schools received 1.5 times more. This suggests that the university can provide excellent training opportunities for both athletes themselves and provide scientific and methodological support for coaches and teachers.

The results of the meeting were summed up by the Minister of Sports of Tatarstan Vladimir Leonov. He outlined the main problems that sports schools face when preparing sports reserves, and also noted that the Ministry will provide the necessary assistance in solving them.

"Over many years of work, we have become a big sports family, and together we can find solutions to the problems that exist. We live in one of the most advanced regions of Russia, so we must move in the same direction and think about how to become better in our industry," Vladimir Leonov concluded summing up.
