Want to get involved with Volga Region University's student community from the very first day of the school year, but don't know where to show your skills and learn something new? In our "Teams Off the Field" column, we'll introduce you to the university's student associations and their leaders, and tell you about the vibrant lives of these activists and their future plans.
A sports university can't function without esports – students at Volga Region University can find their calling and make a name for themselves on the digital battlefield at the TERA-Winged Bars esports club.
What is an esports club?
The eSports Club is a group of students passionate about computer games and eager to develop their skills. The members train diligently to represent Volga Region University at both the national and national levels.
What awaits you at the eSports club?
Students can try out for teams in CS2, Dota2, Starcraft, and Tekken. New recruits can look forward to exciting gaming sessions and new connections. They will be able to improve their skills under the mentorship of experienced teammates.
Last academic year, the Volga Region University esports club reached a new level. The participants won the All-Russian tournament "Moscow Esports" and took bronze at "Winstrike Masters" and the Tatarstan Cup. They also placed among the top 16 in the Russian CS2 Championship, the top 5-8 in the Russian Cup, and finished second in the Tatarstan Esports Student League.
An eventful academic year awaits the students. They will prove themselves at the Republic Championship and Cup, the Tatarstan Esports Student League, and the Russian Championship and Cup.
