Fifty students from the IT Lyceum took part in the autumn festival of the All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Complex "Ready for Labor and Defense."
Schoolchildren aged 12-17, as well as faculty from the school, competed in the competition, organized by the All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Complex "Ready for Labor and Defense" Testing Center at Volga Region University.
Gulfiya Gabdulkhaerova, Acting Head of the All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Complex "Ready for Labor and Defense", opened the festival with a welcoming speech. She emphasized the importance of physical education and sports in the lives of every citizen and the promotion of the GTO complex among all categories of the population who lead a healthy lifestyle.
Festival participants competed in five events: push-ups, pull-ups, sit-ups, long jumps, and standing forward bends.
The top performers in each age group were awarded diplomas.
In a week, the students will have the opportunity to complete long- and short-distance running tests to determine their badge level: gold, silver, and bronze.
