Volga Region University opened its doors to schoolchildren. Ahead of choosing their future profession, ninth-grade students from Gymnasium No. 52 visited the educational and laboratory building and learned about its facilities.

The tour was led by Aliya Garipova, Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages and Linguistics, and student council activists: Chairman Artem Andrianov and Institute Chairs Maria Shamsutdinova, Diana Guzova, and Artem Morev. In addition, College Director Alsu Zheltyakova spoke to the students about their prospects in the Secondary Vocational Education Department.

The students toured the classrooms, concert hall, information and resource center, and cafeteria. They were also keen to learn about the students' extracurricular activities, including the "Winged Bars" sports club, the media center, and the eSports club.

Furthermore, Ranis Khairullin, Associate Professor of the Department of Volleyball and Basketball Theory and Methodology, showed the guests the gym and explained how team sports are played. At the end of the excursion, the ninth-graders visited the Universiade Museum, where they were told about the numerous exhibits, including some from abroad.

After the excursion, the students actively shared their impressions and noted that they were intrigued by the university's modernity and high-tech capabilities – they now know more about the opportunities for study in sports and tourism.

"I've been actively involved in basketball for the past two years. Honestly, I haven't decided yet what my future career will be. But the University of Sport really interested me—especially the basketball court and the Universiade Museum. I'll be happy to recommend my friends to come to Volga Region University and explore its facilities during the Open Days," shared ninth-grader Radmir Yarullin.
