The Volga Region State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Kazan Kremlin State Historical, Architectural and Art Museum-Reserve will jointly train personnel in the field of tourism and hospitality. This decision was the subject of a co-operation agreement between the educational institution and the museum.  The document was signed today by the rector of the university Rafis Burganov and the director of the museum Ilnur Rakhimov. The signing took place at the Volga Region University of Sport and Tourism.

The subject of the agreement also became the interaction of the parties in the sphere of education, culture and science, promotion of effective functioning of the systems of higher education and additional professional education.

The plans include the implementation of joint projects, courses, seminars on training, retraining and professional development of specialists in the field of tourism and hospitality, organisation of practical training for students and trainees of the university on the basis of the museum, joint employment of university graduates.  In particular, within the framework of the agreement, on the basis of the activities of the Institute of Additional Education of the Volga Region University together with the Museum-Reserve, advanced training courses will be organised to train tour guides for Tatarstan.

The parties plan to define the requirements for future specialists of the sphere; to involve representatives of the museum in the educational process; to hold joint exhibitions, conferences, seminars, scientific research; to exchange scientific publications, educational and methodological materials; to publish joint works, analytical materials, monographs, conference collections and scientific works.
