On May 5 the II All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference with international participation "State, problems and ways of improvement of sports and health-improving training in water sports" will start in the framework of "Rector's Cup of the Volga State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism".
The conference will be opened by the plenary session, represented by the honored coach of Russia Irina Belousova, researcher of the laboratory of sport anthropology and nutrition science Irina Kobelkova, Head of the department of the theory and methodology of swimming and synchronized swimming of Russian University of Sport Oleg Popov, Chairman of the regional department of the Russian Geographical Society Dmitry Shiller and other experts. The conference will be continued by the following sections: "Theory and Methods of Sports Swimming", "Theory and Methods of Water Sports" and "Physical and Recreational Technology in Water Sports".
On May 6, within the second day of the Cup, in the "Burevestnik" sports complex there will be solemn opening of the All-Russian swimming competition in memory of Dmitry Usov - graduate and master of sports of Russia in swimming, who heroically died in a special military operation in Ukraine.
In addition to the swimming races that will be attended by 850 athletes from 12 universities and 30 regions of Russia, Yulia Paigunova, Ph.D. in Psychology, Associate Professor of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology in Physical Education and Sport of the Volga Region University, will give an open lecture on "Age-specific psychology for a child swim coach.
On the next day, Gulnara Yanysheva, head of the medical and sanitary department of the Research Institute of Volga Region University, will give a lecture on "Organization of medical and biological support for young athletes".
