Elena Vyalbe, President of the Russian Cross-Country Skiing Federation, head of the Cross-Country Skiing Association and Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and Methodology of Cross-Country Skiing at Volga Region University, celebrates her birthday on 20 April.
Entered in the Guinness Book of Records as the best skier of the 20th century, Yelena Vyalbe has seven Olympic medals to her credit: three golds and four bronzes. As a coach, even under difficult conditions of sanctions against Russian athletes, our skiers continue to win top honours.
