The championship and championship of the Republic of Tatarstan in artistic gymnastics ended on 17 February at one of the sports facilities of the University of Sports, the Gymnastics Centre. Around 150 athletes from Kazan, Almetyevsk, Zelenodolsk, Naberezhnye Chelny and Nizhnekamsk took part in the competition.
Gymnasts of the university once again brought home a number of well-deserved prizes. Thus, in the team all-around, the combined team of Stanislav Isayev, Ivan Antonikhin, Nikita Andronov and Egor Ipatov took first place! In the individual all-around Ivan Antonikhin took gold and Nikita Andronov silver. In the final events Ivan took the top four spots on the horizontal bar, pommel horse, rings and floor exercise, second place on the vault and third place on the parallel bars. Nikita Andronov took first place on parallel bars, second place on pommel horse. Stanislav took second place on pommel horse and horizontal bars, Egor Ipatov took third place on the vault.
"Silver" in the team all-around also got the University women's team: Yulia Nikolaeva, Xenia Kuzmicheva, Yulia Khorosh and Daria Nazarova. The top three places in the individual all-around were shared between Julia Nikolaeva - first place, Julia Khorosh - second and Ksenia Kuzmicheva - third. There are three first places for Julia Nikolaeva in vault, uneven bars and balance beam. Ksenia Kuzmicheva placed first on floor exercise and two second places on vault and uneven bars. The final bronze medal went to Julia Khorosh on floor exercise.
