A visiting meeting on the repair of facilities of the Volga Region University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism was held by the rector of the university Rafis Burganov.
The Working Group got acquainted with the progress of preparation and repair work at the facilities: at the Rowing Sports Center and at the Palace of Water Sports.
More than 200 million will be allocated for the repair and renovation of sports equipment of two sports facilities of the university this year. It is planned that federal funds will be disbursed by the end of October.
In the Palace of Water Sports, the pool water treatment system and an automatic station for ozone determination are already being repaired, and work is also underway to repair uninterruptible power supplies, locker rooms and showers. In the near future, builders will undertake the repair of the roof and the street lighting network.
In the Center of rowing Sports, the building of the rowing pool, the rowing pool itself, the video surveillance system of the territory, the emergency warning system of buildings will be repaired. The repair work will also affect the Regatta Hotel.
According to the heads of the facilities Andrey Feoktistov and Albert Bagautdinov, the construction work will be organized in stages and will not affect the activities of sports facilities. According to the managers, when preparing estimates in the new economic conditions, it is necessary to adjust the work plan and switch to Russian analogues. But this does not affect the timing of the work.
It is worth noting that both facilities were built in preparation for the XXVII World Student Games. All-Russian and international competitions are regularly held at the facilities, training camps of the main and reserve national teams of the country are held.
